Updates from Alumknights. Here's who we heard from in the recent "Y$2K" Alumknight fundraising letter, sent out just before Christmas 1999.

Larry Bennett is saving parts of the environment by designing wastewater treatment plants at Caldwell, Pocatello, Nampa and other more exotic places.

Steve Bruce spends too much time in Chicago and other cities serving on the Board of Trustees of the American Dental Association. He has an Alumknights son Daniel, Class of '97, and an Alumknights daughter Bethany, Class of '99.

Deborah Dooley Nagel is still married to the same lovable man and is living in Maryland working as a nurse several days a week. At this pace she believes she will be working into the next millennium. She loved the last high school reunion and is looking forward to visiting Idaho in the near future.

Jerry Goicoechea lives in Boise.

Paul Nettleton has a mailing address in Murphy, Idaho and is the owner/manager of Joyce Livestock Co, a family ranch started by his great-grandfather in 1865. It is the oldest family ranch in Idaho. Paul and his wife Pat raise cattle, horses and kids. Tiffany, age 22, is a "super" senior business major at BSU; Chad, age 20, is an agriculture major at the University of Idaho. Becky, age 16, is a junior at Melba HS, and Bridget, age 14, is a freshman. Paul replied to the e-mail address as "What's that? We barely have telephones!" He sends an invitation to come to Silver City for a visit - in the summer.

Jim and Suzanne Brilz live in Preston, Washington and commented that the AlumKnights is a good investment.

Ron Green retired from the hustle and bustle of Boise in '96 and moved to his second home in McCall. The hardest thing about the move was leaving the kids, Paul Chehey and the varsity baseball program at Bishop Kelly. Ron's coaching career ended with our 1995 state championship. Ron is a building contractor building a few custom homes each year.

Charlene Lang lives in Boise.

David Uberuaga lives in Ashford, Washington.

Ron Sestero has been a pharmaceutical representative with Abbott Labs in Boise for 20 years. His AlumKnights daughter Christine, Class of '96, is a senior at Albertson College majoring in Biology. She will enter medical school this fall. AlumKnights daughter Jill, Class of '97, is junior at the University of Utah with a major in mathematics.

Kathleen Wilper Hawkins lives in Burley, Idaho.

Greetings. I received the AlumKnights brochure with the e-mail address so I immediately logged on. I live in Bothell Washington and work as an Accountant in a mortgage company in Bellevue. I enjoy reading about my classmates. I am still married to the same goodlooking man and our three children are grown.

This is a message to Dave Uberuaga. It seems that we have mutual friends! Erv and Jeanne Desmet. We have known them for about 4 years now. They asked me where I went to high school. So when I said Bishop Kelly in Boise they immediately asked me if I knew you. What a small world. They are great people!!

We finally moved back to Boise in 2003 after being away 25 years. I'm the chaplain at the Veterans Home and three other retirement facilities. Is anyone planning a 40 year reunion? Tom Warner tompwarner@hotmail.com

Remember the Quirks? A fantastic Boise band in the 1960's. They're planning a reunion concert for August 4th, possibly at Boise High. More details later.

Well, it looks like the Quirks reunion concert is back on. I may have to be out of town, unfortunately. But, here's what I just heard by email:

From: Justin Bonner RE: Quirks, Friday August 3rd

I am delighted to announce that the Quirks will be getting together on Friday August 3rd in Boise at the Mardi Gras Ballroom, 615 South 9th, to play some good ole' 60's rock 'n roll together again!

Hope to see you all there 6 pm to midnight.

Justin

Well, this must seem like a joke by now. Last I heard, the Quirks'reunion concert was canceled AGAIN. Then, I talked with someone else and they said it's back on. I have no idea anymore. Pardon me for wasting the space here. I think the Quirks' reunion is a musical mirage.

I'm still living in southern Illinois, semi retired and enjoying life.I've raised both my daughters,Daniele and Laura as a single parent.Once and a while I'll play with a band.I did this because my kids wanted to hear me play drums in a band and they got a kick out of it.Even their friends were impressed.Yes over 40 years of playing, and I owe it all to BK.And my good friend Greg Bigler, my mentor. He was a great drummer. His talent and drive was the guiding force that pushed us all to be better drummers.I hope you will all keep him in your prayers and all our fellow classmates who died far to young . Party hardy Dan Saxton
