How about a little Class of 1967 spirit to add to this site. I challenge the class of "67" to add an email message here. I can't be the only computer freak out there on the net. Lets see if we can beat the class of "80"s perticipation levels. P.S. there are several other Alumni sites out there and I haven't seen your names on them yet. Makes us look computer illiterate!Lets Rock the boat a little with our grey hairs!!!!
Updates from Alumknights. Here's who we heard from in the recent "Y$2K" Alumknight fundraising letter, sent out just before Christmas 1999.

It was great to get the new Alumni book. I am still in Eagle. I have a daughter that is going to St. Marys School. One of these days I hope she will be going to Bishop Kelly. I am sorry that I missed the 30 year reunion. That weekend I was on the Oregon Coast. I am working at CH2M Hill (Engineering firm). Everything looks nice.
I got my temporary web site up and running. If any of you are interested in seeing my art work and where I live visit my site and pass it along to your friends or classmates. I do try and sell a few prints now and then, to pay for more art classes;starving artist thing. Would love to hear any comments!
Glad you enjoyed the picture Sean. Wait till I put up the picture of our First Communion at Sacred Heart with our classmates from St. Joseph's and Sacred Heart. I think I might also post the 8th grade graduation picture from St. Mary's . Hmm!!!!!!! What other pictures can I post to encourage the rest of my classmates to post here.
I am working here at Bishop Kelly as the Executive Director of the BK Foundation so I am able to keep up with many alumni who pass through and also have kids going to school here. Just a plug for our big dinner/auction held every year to raise funds for the school. This year it is November 4, 2000 at the Boise Centre on the Grove. If you would like an invitation or could contribute an item for the auction, let me know. Bishop Kelly Foundation 7009 Franklin Road Boise, ID 83709 (208) 323-4789
On a more somber note, we have lost two classmates in the last six months - Brian Martin and Jim Hiner. We mourn their passing. Stay in touch.
Just to make all my fishermen classmates jealous thought I would let you know I caught my biggest fish ever on Friday. I caught and landed a 37lb Chinook Salmon. On another note would appreciate all the prayers you can muster for my husband Armand (Mondo). He was operated on in June for Colon Cancer and will be having chemo treatments 5 days out of every month for the next 6 months. He is of course continueing to Fish and hopes to reach or beat my 37lb limit. My prayers and condolences to the families of Jim Hiner and Brian Martin.
I just got this flyer from the Alumni Association, with a website. What a relief. I am really glad that this site is online and I am glad that there is a message area. I would be glad to communicate with anyone who has an email address. I am the most terrible person in the world for writing letters. There is just something about writing the letter and then posting it. I travel around the world and time to write letters is not high on my priority. It is very easy for me to email. I do hope that everyone is doing well and times are good for all. I have been living most of the last 5 years in Scotland. By the way owning a house in Colorado and one in Scotland is a tax nightmare. Just in case you ever want to know. Hope to hear from anybody. See Ya Mike Davies
It's been a long time since anyone has posted a message on this site. I have been in touch with Mike Davies and Val Bybee, but would like to have our class do a better job of keeping track of each other. We have lost three class members in the last 18 months, (Brian Martin, Jim Hiner and Rick Boyington0 and our classmate Roger Aguirre is very ill and in need of our prayers. It makes me realize how much I appreciate all of my classmates and how we need to make an effort to stay connected.
So sorry to hear of the passing of our friends, but in particular I want Joan to know my thoughts and prayers are with her and Roger in this most difficult time.
Today I received this email from Jerry the son of Roger Aguirre Val and Armand,
Roger Aguirre past away Sunday, March 18th, at 7:20p.m. He went peacefully in his sleep. The funeral will be Thursday, March 22nd, at 7:00p.m. At Bishop Kelly High School in the old gym. If you would like to get ahold of Jo, she can be reached at (208)376-1554 or you can E-mail her at this address and we will relay the message

Looking forward to hearing from former classmates. My nephew gradutaed from BK last year and my other nephew started BK this year. My son still lives in Boise, my daughter near here, in Glendale with her husband, and I am pleased and proud to say she has a beautiful 1 year old boy.

It was sure a stroll down memory lane reading all these notes. I did not know about Brian Martin and Rick Boyington. I went to grade school with Rick at St Marys School. My daughter Amanda is now in the 5th grade at St Marys. Julie she will be coming your way in another 3 years. I am still living in Eagle, Idaho. Hi Everyone. Barbara
Glad you are back posting Barbara. Patti Germann has been to the site and emailed me but is shy to post as yet. I want to welcome her back also. She is living in Salem, Oregon. Anyone interested in having a mini reunion in Lakeside Oregon in summer of 2003. Would love to hear from you about it. I would be willing to host it if there is interest. Also would like to know if you would be interested in a site that only our class would be able to post to. We would be able to add family news and pictures, recipes, etc. Site is called My Family.com. I will be setting it up some time this week as my time permits. Will send you a private password to access the site. Plan on adding pictures from St. Mary's Confirmation Class and Graduation as well. The site also has a way to set up a time for a community chat just for our group. When you receive my email from MyFAmily.com use your password (which may be personalized/changed after entering the site) Send me any of our other classmates email addresses that you may have so that I may send them and invitation also.
It has been a long time since anyone has written a message for this sight, but I keep hoping that our class might catch on to this and keep in touch between reunions. Last week I spent some great days with eight of our classmates at Lincoln City on the Oregon coast. Diane Graves, Patti Valle Stevenson, Jennifer Kelly, Mary Abel Koloski, Sandee Hon Mullens, Linda Hooton, Jacque Sherbert Crist, Linda Adams Blake and I had lots of fun reconnecting and reminiscing. We had lots of questions about our classmates that we could not answer. We hope you read this and get in touch with us. Julie
I am so disappointed in you girls. I live 60 miles or so from Lincoln City! Why didn't you stop for a visit. By the way I have a friend who has a cute cabin on the lake with is own dock. It sleeps 9, more with cots or sleeping bags and rents for only $75 a night. Great place for a slumber party. We could take the boat out and get some crabs, bring them to the beach and have a beach party in Winchester Bay or Coos Bay! Or better yet how about inviting the whole class of "67" for a mini reunion. Maybe next year, huh!
Since no one has posted in awhile I thought I would say Hi. Haven't heard from many of you! I had an email from Mike Davies 2 yrs ago but he seems to have slipped off the planet! Anyone know his new email address. Same with Julie! What is your new email. Patti German had contacted me and had looked at this site but was too shy to post. Her email is also no longer any good. Where are you Patti. I heard Patti Valli now has email according to the Alumni.web site (paid subscriptions)since I don't have a subscription can't get her email or Barbara Forman, Nancy Allen,Sandy Santo's and several others. Can anyone help? Haven't heard from Sean Smith Cutaia or Barbara Blasko. Diane Smith and I seem to be the only ones emailing. She survived the Hurricanes by the way! Seems many homes in her area were lost! Had an email from Mary Brown Kimmel's sister Paula. Haven't seen or talked to her since grade school. Also had an email from Eileen Dean class of "68". We enjoyed rememberances of Sister Emile Louise and "French class". Eileen met our "67" classmate Tom Wachter and they were married about 10 yrs ago. She sent some wondeful pictures of the cabin they built between Stanley and Lowman. And some of Tom too!Wish we had a way to share pictures on this site. A scapbook page would be neat! Well, hope to hear more from all of you! We have to have more "67" classmates out there! Gee, our 40th reunion is fast approaching! 2007. Hope someone is making some fun plans!
I was looking for information for my daughter who will be attending Bishop Kelly 2005-2006 and read all the emails. I just came from the oregon coast two weeks ago and it was stormy but fun. I am looking for an accounting job so if anyone has some connections I would appreciate it. Okay lets get this website rolling again. I am so sorry to hear about classmates that have died.
Barbara Wunder (Blasko) (208)939-4257 oregontide@cs.com
Tom Moore and his wife Elaine will be here in my hometown of Lakeside Oregon in August. Bringing their new motor home. We hope to take them out fishing on the ocean and maybe do some crabbing. Tom Wachter's wife Eileen is retiring from HP the end of July. She is starting up her own custom pillow buisness. I saw some of her work and it is really beautiful. They enjoy spending off time at their vacation cabin near Lowman. I am still wondering what happened to Mike Davies our world traveler. I worry about him as he is sometimes in the orient and wondered if he might have been caught in the Tsunami. Diane Smith Baker survived the Hurricanes in Florida. Also haven't yet heard from Julie L. Does anyone know if she has left her BK job? Spoke to Peggy Jones Doering while visiting relatives in Spokane last summer but we had little time to get together. She is becoming an empty nester! Her husband Greg has had a really bad bout of luck health wise. Needs lots of prayers. So where is everyone! You have to be out there somewhere. How about getting in touch with us all here at Alumknights and letting us know you are safe and sound. If any one has an email address for alumni that haven't yet visited this site would you please send me their email address. I am looking forward to seeing you all at the reunion in 2007
It has been over 9 months and no post from our classmates. That is really disapointing when some classes have begun their 6th string of posts. I am sure some of you have visted this site but have not posted which is even more disapointing. We would love to hear from you. I understand that there is a reunion committee which met in Feb. to kick off our 40th class reunion. My we are getting old aren't we? I hope more of you visitors will let us know where you are living and what you have been up to! We all know how life can be very busy but let's do try to keep in touch. Do any of you remember my Mom? I just got back from AZ helping her to get settled in to live with my oldest son in Tucson. She could no longer live alone due to heart and diabetic problems along with Alzheimer's. She refuses to move to Oregon as she hates seeing a single cloud in the sky. When she sees one in Tucson she says it reminds her of Boise and she is just sure it is going to snow! She still has enough memory to remember old friends just not the day of the week or what she needs to do next. If you would like to say hello I know she would welcome a friendly chat. She is alone during the day while my son is at work. Give me a call at 541 759 2709 and I will give you her phone number. Got together with Tom and Elaine Moore in Casa Grande for lunch when I drove from Phoenix to Tucson Feb. They had the opportunity to go to the Boise State game in Phoenix earlier and had a great time rooting for BSU over Okalahoma. They will be headed to Boise and Idaho Falls for a short stay with family in April then off to the East Coast for a tour of New England in their motor home. If anyone needs their address please contact me and I will get you in touch. Hope to hear from more of you! my email is wildwings@harborside.com
Hello all. Hey Valerie! Your mother would be very irritated to see what has happened to the "Torch". I'm sure you already know it has become a major strip club in Boise. Too bad ...... they had the very best finger steaks!
I found this site only through the Class of '80 website. That's maybe one reason you don't have many postings. Another reason is probably most people are just too busy to take the time to say anything. I can tell you that a serious bout with cancer can sure change your attitude about life and make you stop and smell the roses. I'm still in Boise but the Alumni Assn sends stuff to the other Gleason in the phone book & I never see it. What's up with the 40th reunion???? I haven't seen anyone since the 20th!
OK, Val, I got your messages. Good networking! I don't know if I will come to the reunion. It's been so long. I do check these postings once in a while but it seems like most of us are too busy to use it. So, I'm taking time to reconnect. If anyone wants to drop me a line or two, just do it. I've listed my email. Everyone take care. All The Blessings! Peace:)
Hi Greg and Patty, so glad to catch up to you both since you were on the BK missing persons list. Now if we can just stay connected!
Julie and I have been communicating and we are both hoping to see all our classmates at our 40th Reunion Oct 5, 6th and 7th. We would like to include those who may not have actually graduated with us but maybe went one year or two. Nice to see a few of those we went to grade school with who went on to public high schools. So any help you can give Julie in finding those people please contact us. Alumni with current addresses will be recieving an invitation and save the date card from Jacque Sherbert Crist in the near future. Lets face it folks a few of us won't see the 50th reunion so lets make sure we all get together for the 40th. Greg Gleason has a good point. A bout with cancer or any other illness or death in the family can change your attitude about stopping and smelling the roses. It also helps to remind us that life is short and getting shorter for us over 57/58/59 crowd. It's time to do a little reconnecting with our roots.
I spoke to Janet(Jan) Tullis also this week. Most of you may not remember Jan. She joined our class in December of our Senior year. Jan had lived in Buhl, Idaho before moving to Boise with her family. She had a sister Lynn in the class behind us. Lynn lives in Eugene and is a teacher at Lane Community College. Jan's mother was best friends with Luanne Epleldi's mother when they were children. Jan says that her parents were also good friends of Dan Mais's family before they moved to Boise. Unfortunately they didn't even list Jan on our graduation program although she did recieve her diploma. Jan met her husband in Colorado Springs CO. during College. He was a student at the Air Force Academy. They live in Manhatten Beach CA. She says "yes it is 20 minutes from LAX but really is a nice little beach town of 35,000. She still has a lot of convincing to do to make me believe that's true. They have two daughters and a son. Their oldest daughter is getting married this summer. Their son is in College. No Grandchildren yet.
Greg Gleason forgot to mention that he has 3 daughter's and one of them just presented him with a new baby grandson! What a happy Grandpa!
I had the opportunity to locate Mark Mendonsa but was unable to speak to him as one of his parents had just passed away. I did get his current information to Julie. He now lives in Alaska and has collaborated with his mother to write a children's Christmas book. You can check him out on the web. Funny while traveling in Wyoming 2 yrs ago I saw his book at a truck stop but didn't connect the dots. You see he was a truck driver and while driving got the idea for the book. Thus selling it at Truck stops where truckers can buy a book for their children. Great presents for your kids or grandkids.
Got an email on May 29th from Tom and Elaine Moore who are travelling the country in their Motor Home this summer. They are in Branson Missouri. Sounds like they are enjoying retirement. I'm including an excerpt from their message just to make us all jealous: From Tom and Elaine, We were able to see several shows. We saw Dick Clarks American Bandstand with Fabian, Bobby Vee, Brian Hyland,The Chiffons, and Chris Montez. They were all older, but still can sing great! Another show we saw was Yakov Smirinoff, who was trully funny and such a good entertainer. We also saw the #1 Hits of the 60's, a production that showcases all the fun stuff of the 60's. Another show was Pierce Arrow, a group of 5 men who sing beautifully and sing all kinds of music along with a terrific comedian who had us all laughing uncontrollably. The last show was the Magnificicent Seven, showcasing 7 decades of music, with a cast that did a great job singing and performing. All were such great shows!! If you havent't been to Branson, then you must come a see all that's here. They have over 60 shows going every night, and it's hard to choose which one to see!! We were also able to golf once during the week. A very pretty coruse called Thousand Hills, which gets its name from all the hills in the area! Lots of climbing to get off and on the course, but still fun and nice. We also went to Dogwood Canyon, a park own by the man who own all the Bass Pro Shops. There we saw lots of trout, (wanted my fishing pole!), bison, long horned cattle, deer, and wild turkeys. It was a beautiful park and a fun trip thru it in an open aired pulled trailer. The Ozarks are truly a beautiful area with so many trees!! We have been having afternoon thunderstorms almost daily, and it is supposed to continue thru the weekend. We are leaving for Hot Springs, Arkansas today and we will see the National Park that is there. Tom and Elaine Moore
Tom Wachter is semi retiring and wife Eileen Dean has a new job as Senior Executive Assistant to the VP of Photronics
Now a little updating on me. My husband Armand and I are busy as ever or more so I should say. We have traveled a lot more around the state since my husband was appointed to the Governor's Salmon Trout Advisory Committee 4 yrs ago. We have gotten to meet many interesting people and seen some beautiful country as well as STEP (Salmon Trout Enhancement Program) projects. We are both past officers of and very active our local STEP program in Lakeside. STEP is a Volunteer program that includes habitat restoration, monitoring, education and the raising of hatchery Salmon, Steelhead and Trout. Currently we both sit on the Coos County STEP Commission Board of Directors in which the members are overseeing the building of a 1/2 million dollar Interpretive Hatchery center on the Coos River. I am an officer on the Board. I am Chairman for the 3rd year of the 8th Annual Coos Basin Amateur Salmon Derby put on by our group Eel-Tenmile STEP, Northwest Steelheaders South Coast Chapter and Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW). We raised over $13,000 last year which goes to our programs without any overhead as we are all volunteers. If you want a coastal fishing report just contact us. We spend our spare time fishing. Fished in the Umpqua River for pink fin perch last Mon. and Wednesdays and got our limits. Pink Fin come in from the ocean to spawn live young in the rivers. Salmon are about 10 miles off shore now but mostly commercial boats are fishing for them. Halibut season is open on Thurs, Fri and Sat. and the catches have been good most days but boats are going out over 12 miles. Spring Chinook haven't shown up much in the Rogue river at Gold Beach with only limited catch. A few but also not large catches were reported in the Umpqua River and they are starting to pick up a few in Tillamook Bay of North Coast. Know a good guide in Tillamook if your are headed that way. Give me a call and we can get you hooked up.
Sorry for such a long post but thought it might stimulate you to help us find all our classmates. Hope you have enjoyed hearing
Another update from Tom Moore and wife Elaine. Val
Hello everyone!! We have had such a time traveling and seeing the sites since my last letter out to you all. We have just left Maine, and we really enjoyed our stay there. Would you like some buttah with your lobstah? Yeah!! It has been so fun to hear how everyone speaks in Maine. Such a drawl! We just left the Bar Harbor area, and we toured Acadia National Park. Very nice, with the tallest moutain peak on the east coast from Maine to South America! Guess how tall? 1530 Ft! yeah that's right!!! It was just a hill, compared to what we usually have out west! However, such a view! You could see for over 30 miles in 360 degrees view. It was trully magnificient! We took a whale watch trip out of Bar Harbor and went out 30 miles onto the Atlantic Ocean to see 2 finn whales and Puffins (birds) along with a beautiful lighthouse, one of the tallest on the Maine coast. The blueberries are ripe and there are roadside booths eveywhere to sell them. The cheapest being $2.95/quart. They make wonderful blueberry pancakes!!! Yummy!! We enjoyed out stay in the Boston area. We saw so many wonderful historical sites the 2 weeks we were there. The Boston area is so nice. We walked the Freedom Trail in Boston which is a red brick trail to all the famous sites in Boston. We saw the Old North Church, Paul Revere's home, Faneuil Hall (the oldest meeting place and now a wonderful food market and hall), Trinity Church, USS Constitution( Old Ironsides), the Prudential Center (50 stories up and 4 sides to see Boston from a bird's eye view), Harvard University (pricey to attend, now only costing $45,000 a year!) Concord and Lexington the area where the "Shot was heard around the world", and all the areas north and south. North we saw Salem, Newburry Port, Gloucster, and ports around there. South we saw Plymouth, Plimouth Plantation- - homes and people dressed just like the days of the Pilgrims and of couse Cape Cod. We also saw President Kennedy's Presidential Museum, with movies and memories from when he was running for President until his death. We even managed to go to Foxwood's Casino, located in Norwich, Conn. That was such a fun time. Both Tom and I played poker there in the world's largest room. Over 150 tables with all kinds of poker being played, and yes they were all full. Because there were so many tables and people, they had a paging system, that call your initials out that you had given them almost continually. I found it quite annoying the first time we went, but the second time, I didn't notice it so much. It has a Vegas style casino and very upscale. We are now on our way to New York, and will make Nigrara Falls our next stop. We plan to be there on Sunday thru Saturday. Then on to the Detroit area to visit some very good friends there. Will let you all know how we do in Nigrara. We plan to be back in the Boise area October first. Hope all of you are doing well, and of course we love to hear from you all, so send us your emails! Take care! Elaine and Tom
I have been meaning to post about our October 40th class reunion but never seem to get it done. I still will but not today! Promise I will later.
To those who live in Boise we had a great time without you but you should have come! No excuses unless it was a family emergency or work! Which I know that does happen!
I just wanted to let you know how disapointing it was to us who travel so far then find out that the people we have looked forward to seeing for so long haven't bother to show up! It was your loss because you missed out on seeing us! It was a great reunion and we all had fun together!
I know I promised an update of the reunion but am now occupied with family matters.
Many of you knew my mother Margaret Bybee when we were in High School. Mom hasn't been well and I am now in AZ seeing to her. The day before my arrival to visit her and my son Jamie whom she lives with, she had to be admitted to the hospital. After a bout with the flu she became weaker then normal and developed a few other problems. She was released from the hospital on Saturday April 19th for rehab at a nursing home here in Tucson to get her strength back so she can walk. If she is not successful she will not be able to come home and will have to stay in nursing care which is her worst fear. She is 86 and has wanted to "just die" as she puts it for the last 15 yrs. God has had other plans so far.
She has repeatedly refused to move to Oregon. Last year she could no longer live alone so chose to move from Yuma to Tucson to live with my son.
On another note I would like to add that shortly before our 40th reunion, Julie Lachiondo Lliteras got word that Luanne Epeldi was in a local nursing home. Sadly she is still there and gets very lonely. She has a great sense of humor and likes to tell jokes. Joan Aguirre, Ellen Burry and myself visited her the last day of the reunion. Julie has been to see her several times since and I have spoken to her on the phone. If you would like to contact her or send a card contact me or Julie at BK for Luanne's address.
Remember to pray for all our classmates. Not all of us are in good health and as we reach our 60's some may not be here for our 50th reunion. Don't wait to contact that friend you remember from so long ago. We all share a common bond of memories no one else remembers.
Just about forgot! Before I left home got an email from Diane Smith Baker.
Diane had a bad stroke and is herself working on rehabilitation. She too can use your prayers. Her email address is on this site just check out her posts. She has to recover to get back to work in mid may. Keep her in your prayers.
Also spoke on the phone to Barbara Forman Allen. Barbara lives in Rhode Island. She was not able to attend the reunion. She has her own practice where she works several days a week as well as works several days at another facility. If I have it right she works with abused women counseling them.
Tom and Elaine Moore are not far from me here in AZ but we were unable to make a connection due to my needing to hurry to my mom. If we don't connect on my return home, I will be seeing them in July in Lakeside, Oregon where they will spend about 3 months.
In Case you didn't see the notice we lost one of our teachers. Those who went to St. Mary's 7th and 8th grade year will remember her. Sister Contance. It doesn't say only the year 2009 and no date of her passing. She was the all time favorite teacher of many of us who graduated from St. Mary's Grade School. So sad to hear of her departing but she will be remembered. Hope she puts in a good word with her boss for all of us.
