hey chad congrats! I'd heard that you were getting married but was not sure when. I am still in washington but will be home mon. We got laid off because this job is done and I told my boss i would'nt work in Gary In. so I'm off until the route from Las Vegas to Pheonix starts, about 3 weeks. I might go to see my brother in Lija, Malta for part of it. His school looks over the Medataranian Sea and everything on the island is made of limestone, i'd really like to see it. So where are you now? Last time I heard from you, you had just got back from your your little millinium trip to London, so it's been awhile. You got my number babe. Call me

Well...we are still doing well over here in Spain! In fact, this weekend Martha Maus and I got together in Granada. It was a blast even though we got hailed on when we were at the Alhambra (an old Moorish fortress). Classes are going well, and I am having a wonderful time here...but I am still really excited to come home. I´ll be in Boise for about 2 weeks at the beginning of June, and then it is back up to University of Washington to get some work done. Email me back if anyone is interested in getting together...who knows, maybe I´ll show you some cool pics of España!

Later, bk

Well, we've got tuxes so there's no turning back now. I look pretty good if I do say so, and I can, so I will. We went through engaged encounter and learned a lot. We encourage everyone to do that - make the opportunity. Glad to hear that you're all doing well. Thanks for asking, Angela. Classes are going okay for the both of us, I'm doing track for the community college now and having the time of my life. It's not just Ruben and Abe that can be college athletes. God Bless

Hello all, Russ, I am so glad ot hear that you guys are doing so great. The big day is soon huh? Well, good luck! I was engaged there for a little while, but it just wasn't right. I am glad to hear that you worked things out, it isn't easy to do that. I wish you both the best! I have a new boyfriend now, and I have never ever been happier, the only thing is he drives truck, and he might have to go to Arkansas for two months. But he is trying to get out of it. He knows you, Russ. How is your mom doing? And Emily? So you are enjoying school? THat is a good thing. I am going to apply to get in to the Nursing program next January. I don't know about you, but I am ready to be through with school. Anyway, Bobbie, is it as nice as our trip when we were juniors? I wish I could go back, I think about that trip often. Have you gone to anymore Bull fights? What other things have you seen? I hope that all is well with you. Well, if you all have any news, keep me posted! I'd like to hear from you all! Talk to you all later!

My sister just told me about this sight.I think it is cool that there is a place tha our class can say hi and catch up on things. I am graduating from ITT in june with my associates degree in E.E.T, in june. Then I have the summer off and go back to get my BAS. That will take me another 12 months, I think its worth it.

Chad- I always knew you were a little fruity but this is too weird. I still don't believe it, but your sister said it was true and she has no reason to lie. Well I think the only place same sex marriges are allowed is in hawaii so if you go there to get married I will go. But only if its in hawaii I am not going to CHICKEN HEAD LAND "the south". As far as the stock market treating you well, I was your friend for a long time I put up with your wierd ass behavior. How bout spreding the some of the welth over my way. Later

Hello everyone. Life is great here at Albertson College in Caldwell. It's wonderful to be able walk out of Biology lab and smell the cows, and the sugar beet factory, and lord knows what ever else is in the air. The odor changes from day to day, depending on the direction of the wind. Anyhow, I plan on remaining in the City of Trees this summer, and working somewhere that I can ride my bike to, seeing as I don't own a motorized vehicle just yet. So, we should all definitely hang out at some point. I haven't seen some of you in I don't know how long, and it would be great to catch up. Russ, Emily; Lauren; congrats, and good luck with wedding plans. Later.

Hello all of you wonderfull people. I have longed for such a place to comunicate with my old class mates. I hope that all of you are doing extremely well, especially you Patrick Fithen. I have been traveling on the south seas of Paris and have temporarily taken up residents in New York City. It is very exciting being a female on the run. I have gotten into a lot of trouble since my high school days. It took some courage but I have been able to put most of it behind me. Now I must look towards the future to further elude the law. You see, I am on the run from the police and a second party who I will not name at this time. I will also not be able to reveal my true name. For now you can refer to me as First Catch. Later I will give an e-mail addres where I can be reached at. I will give a hint to who I am. I am of average height and had long blonde hair at B.K.. About a month after I graduated from school some girl friends and I were out in Melba drinking at one of the local bars, obviously the only one that does not card (Max's Heat'em Up and Lick'em Down, a tity bar.) The bartender was very happy to let us in because the men in the place were hard hit for any female company: As a side note I feel that I should mention that the only person who was flashing and dancing for the occupants of the bar wasn't really a women at all. She/He had balls but also had tits. For now on I will refer to her/he as The Shemale. Unfortunetly I must stop now because I have just spotted some supicious looking men entering my building so I must go. I will write again because I think it is important for all of you to hear my story, it has a meaningful moral message. Good bye for now. -First Catch.

That last for 6 months so it will be a while before I get to see any of you. Just thought I'd pop in and say hi to all you people i don't get to see very much. Take care and best of luck in what you are doing. Russ, sorry I missed it man, but I couldn't be happier for the both of you. later...

This is almost surreal.

Scott Bohn is in the Navy, Michelle Keller is in California, I'm in Michigan and God only knows what Chad Vassar is up to! Some of our friend are getting married. M-A-R-R-I-E-D, Married! Wow.

Who'd have thought that we would spread this far in such a short time? Or that we would have changed into such different creatures? Or is what we all are doing not so unreasonable after all, a natural progression along the courses of our lives? Is this to be expected of us? Are we so capable? Sometimes I think that this is not quite real. Is this my life? What am I doing here in Ann Arbor, Michigan? Who is this man going to these chemistry classes putting my name on his papers and exams? Have I really accumulated all this knowledge? Am I really so in debt?

Oh, such a short time ago we were at BK, skipping Ms. Symmonds class and sleeping in Tacke's (some of us anyway.)

Oh, how thinks have changed.

To all those that played ball: That night will always be in our lives. That night, in that freak town, when we gave it our all, with our war chant ready, and our parents watching in the stands. Every time we think of our past, we think of that night. Every time see a new athlete rise out of us, we remember how they were that night. What they did. How they handled themselves and how they fought. We thought in first downs. We breathed in passes and plays. We screamed for what we thought our future was to be, in a championship. Now, when we come back, we realize we’re not there anymore. Removed, but the builders of something only we see. After this year, no one there will remember us but Doc and some teachers. We have all done our best to live beyond that night. We had it. The moment was ours. Unknowingly, we were having the time of our life. The times become glorified. The place gets further away but we still want that night in our lives, as fresh as it was then, just before the clock ran out. When every athlete there, on both teams, had hope. Give your all to what God made you to be - an athlete in every sense. The one that tests their strength. The one that proves their ability. The one that ruminates in color. The one that still watches that damn highlight film and cries. Being on that team, be the one that Believes.

Hey guys what's up? Not much here. I'm in Phoenix, AZ. Never thought I would end up in AZ of all places but oh well. I'm going to Phoenix College and doing kick ass. I've somehow managed to get into Phi Theada Kappa down here which is kinda fun. I've got my own place and yadda yadda yadda. It's REALLY REALLY HOT down here during the summer. It was 117 one day just this last summer. It's Decemer right now and its 75 out. I miss snow. That's what's going on in my life. Has anyone heard from Kate Sullins at all? Last I heard was that she was in Cali. If anyone hears from her or Tony McDonald, tell them to e-mail me. I'll be in Boise from the 10-18 of March 2001. I hope to see some of you people when I'm there. Talk at you later. Bye, Stamps

Hey everyone! How is life? Christmas came and went and now comes another year. If you haven't heard....I am getting married. John finally asked me in October, but I haven't had a chance to put it on this site. It is really weird that some of us are married or getting married. I hope that all is well with everyone. I miss hearing from people. I hope that you will write and you all better be at the wedding. It is October 13,2001 at St.John's Cathedral and the reception is at Doubletree Riverside. The wedding is at 2:00 pm. If you don't get an invitation, it doesn't mean that you're not invited. Please come! I would love to see you!

Love much Angela

Hi everyone, I just thought that I would say hi and let you all know what is new. I got married on September 8th of last year. I live on the Air Force Base in Mountain Home, Idaho. Today being the 8th of May, I only have 9 more days until I reach my due date. That is right, I am going to have a baby any day now. 9 Months is a long time, but it goes by fast too. I am so ready to not be pregnant any more. We don't know what it is yet, but when he/she gets here, I will let you all know the details. Congratulations Angela, I am glad to hear that you are happy, and that you are going to be married. I am still a full time student at BSU, and I am working on getting into the Nursing program. Hopefully I will make it by the next application time. I only have so many more core classes I can take. I am almost completely finished with the required core for the program. Please, if you all have any news, let me know, by e-mail. Hope all is well for everyone. Hope to hear from you all soon. Angela

Hey guys! It sounds like things are going well for everyone! I'm up to the same old stuff...wrapping up my third year here at Santa Clara. Maribeth and I have been roommates for the last couple of years and I'm doing my best to keep her out of trouble! I'm studying Accounting and Art History and actually spent the fall in Florence, Italy which was incredible! I have an internship down here with one of the Big Five Accounting firms, so I won't be back to good old Boise until mid-August. Hopefully I'll see all of you soon though! I hope things are going well for everyone. If you're ever in the Bay Area, let me know! I'd love to see you guys!

Hey everyone,

I finally got on this website after hearing how cool it was. Its good to see that people are doing what they want and making the most of life.

After spending a year in CA I went to the Basque Country and hung out with the fam while learning the language. Now I am in Seattle studying and working for the Earth Day Network. Jenny Greenfiled and I live together - but we hardly see each other because she is so busy in the theater.

So, you all know my dad is no longer at BK. He was sad to leave, but its better for him and my family. Hopefully now he won't have a heartattack because some dumbass parent is on his case...

So anyone who is in Seattle e-mail me and we will get together for a beer - after all, we are legal now!!

If you are ever in the neighborhood feel free to drop me a line. I hope that you are all doing well. Hello friends and classmates, I wish I had good news for you all, however I have to let you know about the death of one of our classmates. Jamie Sanchez was killed on Bogus Basin Rd. on January 8th 2003. She was about five miles up the road going to work when her car hit a patch of ice and went over the side. She died at the scene as a result of positional afixation. The passenger survived. If anyone knows her mom Jo Ann, call her. I'm sure she would love to hear from you all and any stories you have of Jamie. If anyone has any questions, call me at (602) 348-1240. Good Luck to all,

Hello all:

Well first things first...in memory of Jaime, I would like to say that she will be missed and thought of often. She touched many lives and I am proud to say that she was a friend of mine. I was quite shocked and very upset when I saw the news. Jaime we will never forget you.

On a happier note, I love being a mommy so much I did it again! On January 2, 2003 at 3:03am, I became the proud mommy of a 7lbs. 10oz. 20 1/4 inch long bouncing baby boy!! We named him Nicholas Daniel, and he is such a sweet baby. Although I love being a mommy, this is the last one for us. I told my husband Dan, that he has to make an appointment, or he has to carry and give birth to the next one!! LOL My daughter is now 22months and I have never met a better child. SHe is very smart, and I think she is very beautiful Levi, thank you. I am working on getting in the nursing program, I should say that I am waiting to be accepted...this semester I am taking fluff classes. Yoga, golf and the like. I have over 100 credits finished, so technically I could graduate, but as what I have not a clue. I should get in to the program this fall, if all goes well. In preparation for our son, Dan and I decided to buy a house. We got a really good deal, and it is only 3 years old. We live in Middleton, not too far from my mom and dad. Dan is still in the Air Force, and will probably be deploying again in the next few months, we won't know for how long, but probably longer that the 86 days he was gone last time. That is a long time to be away from little babies. I hope that all of you are doing well, and I hope that our classmates that are military members have to leave families behind. If you do, have respect for them, because they have a lot to deal with when you are gone, and they take on a lot more responsibility than you know. Not only that but they spend their days and nights worrying about you. Stay safe and know that you are heroes, and thank you for what you do for our wonderful country! Well, you are all welcome to email me, at angelavarilek@mail.boisestate.edu, or at angiecosta@hotmail.com. Levi, say hi to your mom and sisters for me, and drop me a line some time. I am glad to hear that the rest of you are doing well, and I hope that nothing tragic happens to any more of us. Jaime is in a nicer place, and I know she is watching over all of us. Talk to you all later, Angela

Hi everyone,

I thought I would get on here to see what people were saying about Jamie. There really is nothing we can say that is too consoling, but Angela said it well in recognizing her contribution to people of this class and the greater community.

I too have some news to share that is of a happier note. Roger Turcotte recently asked me to marry him and (of course) I said yes. For all of you who remember 14 year old me - I am sure you will remember that I was "never getting married." But, things change, and we are looking forward to bothering each other for the rest of our lives (isn't that romantic!).

Roger and I aren't sure where we will be living next year yet - he will be in graduate school and I will most likely be doing Americorps, but we will be in Boise during the end of July and the first part of August, so I hope to reconnect with some BK folk this summer.

Hi guys!

For some reason...could it be procrastination from work?...I don't know...but I was thinking about good ol' BK and wanted to see what everyone was up to these days. After reading some of your messages, I was happy to see how far people have come in their lives. It's amazing how 5 years can change us, isn't it?

So here are my two cents on what's been going on in my life.

After graduation, I moved to CA and got an undergrad degree in Poli Sci from St. Mary's College. After that, I worked in the marketing dept. of a local HMO for about 6 months and then decided that I wanted to go back to school to get a Master's in Asian Studies. So I am at USF currently working on that. In the spring, I am planning to get a second undergrad degree in Immunology. Studying Asia is my passion but Biology and Immunlogy are what I want to do as far as a career. I moved to Oakland (on the east side of the Bay from SF) about a year and a half ago and love living here. My neighborhood is rough but has definitely lent a different perspective on life.

Recently, I married the love of my life. His name is Josh and we met about 3 years ago. He has been the biggest blessing in my life (besides my mom an brother) and we not only have a loving relationship but a very strong friendship. Needless to say, I am happier than I have ever been before. Josh works in Biotech here in the Bay Area and has been very supportive of my going back to school. Eventually we'd like to buy a house and will have to move out of the state...CA is sooooo expensive!...so we'll become those "obnoxious Californians"...but don't worry, Idaho isn't on our list! Hehehe.

Anyway, I suppose I should get back to work...I have a paper that I am attempting to get published by Dec. that has been a thorn in my side for several months now...

But I wish you all the best and would love to hear from you!

Cheers!

Penny

So, I found this website a few days ago and thought I could throw in a line or two. It was really nice reading some familiar words from familiar names.

As for me, I graduated from OSU in Forest Engineering and Civil Engineering this last spring. I basically spent the last 5 years learning the best way to slick the hillsides and pave them over. For some reason, I decided "working" was just not my thing, so I ended up going to grad school this fall at UT-Austin for a Master's in Civil Engineering. What have I learned from my experience here so far? There are some places in this world that don't quite make sense. Texas might be the biggest of them all. Well, at least they have state pride here. A large portion of the women have the Texas flag for a tattoo.

If anyone would like to send me an email, I would sure like to hear from them. I have a lot more fun facts about Texas to share. See ya around.

Hi friends,

Hey I found out this message board just today and by reading all these message I sure missed out a lot. Does anyone even remember me? The short Chinese girl from Hong KOng who had super short hair and didn't know anything???? Well, let me tell you how have I been in these years. After graduating from BK I went to Boise State and finished my Marking and HR degree. At school I met a wonderful guy and he also went to BK. Maybe some of you guys recognize his name (Andy Moats). He's from class of 1997. Anyways, after college I decided to move to Hawaii with him (that's where he's from). And just a week ago we got engaged. We are not sure when and where the wedding is going to be but I am looking forward for that. I am currently working at a local company that distributes Local snacks. We have snacks from China, Vietnam, Japan, Spain and all over the place. I worked at the office as an assistant manager but basically I am just an office girl. It has been great that the company was willing to sponsor me as a foreign worker in the States, otherwise I wouldn't be able to stay in America. I live in a studio right at Waikiki. It's always fun to see tourists all over but the rent is very expensive. Ok, I gotta go to Chinatown now and get some good food. btw, Penny..... congrats. I still remember you and Josh.

Hi everyone,

I just learned about this message board and it is nice to here that everyone is doing great. I want to say congratulations to all of those that have married in the past years and wish you the very best. It’s been awhile since I have seen many of you.

For myself, I am still in Boise and I am doing very well. I am currently a non-traditional student, working FT and going to school PT this semester. I am currently pursuing a BA in criminal justice. I hope to go into corrections and counsel troubled juveniles. I have 28 credits remaining. I currently work for a company named "Workscape" which I outsource benefit administration for many companies. I spent the summer of 2003 traveling Eastern Europe with Michael Cooper and I had the time of my life.

I just want to wish everyone good luck for 2004 and I hope that this year treats everyone well!

Cheers,

Patrick

Well, I am just writing in the hopes that others read this message board. I hope all is going well for everyone and that you are all taking care of yourselves. John and I just found out yesterday that we are expecting our first baby! We are excited and scared out of our minds. We are actually grown-ups now....that's scary! I'm working at the funeral home full-time now and I am really enjoying it. Good place to bring a baby!! Again, I hope that everyone is well and I hope to hear from someone soon.

Love Angela

Hey all, I hope that life is treating everyone well. Congrats to everyone who is starting a family! I hope that everyone continues in good health! I started thinking that we were alot closer to a reunion than graduation, so I need to start doing something with my life so that I can impress you all :) So, I am moving to Los Angeles with Mike Cooper at the end of the year to see where life takes me. I finished college with degrees in theatre and education. I turned down an opportunity to teach at BK because I need ot experience more life than Boise has to offer, so we'll see. I hope that everyone is well, and I'll see you all down the road....Fithen, I'm going to beat you up when I see you next.

hello to all of my fellow class mates. It is amazing to see where everyone is and all the amazing things we are all up too. I am currently living in Reno Nevada where I am working on my masters and am an Athletic Trainer for the University of Nevada. Please do not say anything about how bad my team is. Its not my fault. If anyone is going to be in Reno let me know, or even if you are passing through on your way to California. Congratulations to all who have been married in the last few years and to all of those who have become mommies and daddies. Can't wait for your little one Angela !! take care to eveyone

Heya Auti and everyone from class- I just caught this- a friend of mine and I are "googleing" ourselves... I know, it's dorky... this is what graduate school nerds do for fun on Friday afternoons out here. I'm in D.C. now- Auti- my parents were out here and they saw you on TV for the BSU game!! I was in the kitchen and missed it! Anyhow, I hope everyone is doing very well and has a great holiday season. If you are ever in the neighborhood or would like to say hey, you can find me at this email. Angela, congratulations!!!

Hello everyone! I was just writing to post a message that I heard at church on Sunday that Eric Stadler who was in our class was in an accident in Washington or Oregon..I am still trying to figure it out. He is in a coma and his future does not look good right now. I was just wanting to put some good thoughts towards his way and hope that you can keep him in your prayers.

Hello everyone. It sounds like you are all doing amazing things. As for me, I've been back in Boise for a little over a year trying out the whole job scene. Not a big fan. Need a rich lady. Anyway, I just found this site and wanted to say hi. So people get a hold of me and we'll go grab a beer. Hey angela, what's the update on Stadler

We are living in a nice condo in Hawaii. I have changed job and am working at a dentist office now. Babies? Not yet but we have a dog. Anyways, just stop by and say hi to all of you. Take care! Hi all!

Just an update...I'm living in Oakland, CA with my husband of 2 yrs., Josh. We own our own bit of property here...a condo in the Oakland/Berkeley hills with our dog, Lucy. Josh is working in biotech and I am teaching 2nd grade. I love being a teacher! I recently finished my Master's and am planning to go back for my PhD eventually to teach at the university level. I also finished my first marathon in SF in July and am doing another in 3 weeks.

Hope you all are well!

Penny :-)

Hi everyone. I just found this posting spot randomly yesterday and (not suprising) I have not kept up with high school people hardly at all...I was sad to see that Jamie Sanchez passed on but I think she is in a better place. I actually saw her a few times post HS around Boise and she was so positive, always smiling, and had a sort of endearing quality of sincere interest in other people. Has anyone heard about Eric Stadler? I hope he is okay, he had to be one of the sweetest guys I remember from school, very sincere as well. I am doing well. My post college haunts include Wyoming, then Boise, and now Seattle where I run an internship program for current & recent college grads getting into the environmental & natural resource fields. I had a lot of fun reading this and hope everyone is doing well. Pat I miss having you as a neighbor and YOU ROCK for taking off and travelling Europe. P.S. does anyone have contact info for Megan Goicochea? I heard she lives in Seattle.

Hey y'all, anyone in town doing any camping over the Memorial Day weekend? I am thinking about making a quick trip on Sunday. I miss living next door to you too Nic, where are you living these days? I am heading to Australia and New Zealand in December so I am in the process of trying to get everything planned out for this trip. Happy birthday to Paul Mcgee, he turns 26 here in a few days. You old bastard! A word of advice for him-You are dumb as a mule and twice as ugly, if a strange man offers you a ride I say take it!

Hey all! Just thought I would say hello and see what everyone is up to. Time has flown by. I have been married for 6 years, my daughter just started Kindergarten and my son is 3 1/2. My husband is getting out of the Air Force next month and will officially be a husband and father. Of the 6 years we have been married, he has been home for only about 3 years. YUCK!! At least I know if I have to I can make it as a single mom! We own a house in Middleton and really love being homeowners. Drop me a line sometime and let me know how you all are! Anyhow, hope all is well with everyone! Take it easy, Angela

Holy cow I just now found this ... where have I been!? (In Boise, go figure) I work for USBank and just had my 10 year anniversary here in February... I am getting married top Ben Moore in August, and am busy planning all of that- lots of work, but we are having fun. We have a house (and a golden retriever) in the North End, spent most of the winter remodeling, but we are now enjoying it!

Sounds like everyone has been busy.... Hope to see some more entries for 2007.

BK 1998 CLASS REUNION

Put on your favorite memories and polish those dancing shoes in anticipation of a party planned 1 year in advance.

I need email addresses and contact information of 98 classmates. If you want to help plan the party, let me know. I plan on sending out emails just to ask questions about times and events. Majority not necessary to win.

If you have received and responded to emails from Zach Piepmeyer, then you are a golden ocean. He holds the master list right now.

Also if you have ideas, please let me know. Being an Idea Coach, I also have some lights blinking upstairs.

In case you forgot, I was voted in to head party position as Class President sometime in 1997.

Cheers! Matt

Folks,

If you did NOT receive an email about the reunion yet, it's because we couldn't find anyone that knew your email address. There is a general reunion email account that you can send your contact information to:

BishopKelly98@gmail.com

If you know the email addresses of any other classmates, send them too!

We are trying to send out group email updates to everyone that we have made contact with. If you have previously made contact with the BishopKelly98@gmail.com address and are not receiving updates every month or so from that address, chances are our email messages are being treated as spam by your email provider (espcecially if your email is through your place of employment). If you think this might be the case, give us another email address OR check in periodically for updates on the website:

Just reading up on these posts. I didn't go to Bishop Kelly, although Eric Stadler, my wonderful boyfriend did. I thought everyone should know he's doing great, after three years now since the accident. He's a fighter. Still has a major injury to his right arm, but he's alive and thats what matters!
