A tad bit early to be even looking at an alumni site, but still, the first message does have a certain appeal. Plus, I'm sitting in my office, bored out of my skull. So . . . how's everyone doing? Hmm. . . You know. Being the first person sucks (ah, the refined vocabulary of a private school graduate). I'm outa here. See you at the reunion (if you're lucky. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha, sorry). J.P. Ulmen
Well, I guess that I will take a stand and be the first girl from the class of '97 to write a little note. I hope that everyone is doing well, and that college is treating everyone well. I left the small city of Helena, MT to return to the ever so wonderful Boise. I am loving life here and going to BSU and getting involved in Theatre and working alot. Hope to hear from everyone, would love to know what people are doing. Natalie

Alicia Dennis gives Meridian as her home.
Jeff Lliteras is a junior at Gonzaga University majoring in accounting and finance.
Eric Welsh is studying Film & Television at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. He plans to graduate in the spring of 2002 as he took last year out to study at the University of Redding in England.
Nicci Winslow attends the University of San Diego and will be in Florence, Italy this summer on a study abroad program.
Natalie Wilson transferred from Carroll College to BSU to pursue a Business Marketing degree.
My name is Jeffrey Kaufman, class of 1997, and I recently recieved the spring 2000 newletter. I must say that I am very impressed with its contents and glad to see my high school prosper the way that it is. The purpose of this letter is to inform you about me. I read about my classmates, and I was disappointed that they didn't get the chance to know anything about the progress that I have made. I thought that you would like to know that my address is not 600 University Ave., Moscow, ID 83843 anymore. Since I am still in school at the University of Idaho, I still use my parents address. 920 Marshall, Boise, ID 83706. I move around a lot up here, and things get lost. As for my progress in life. Well, currently, I am a Junior at the University of Idaho. My major is Public Communication with an emphasis in Public Relations. I also plan on publishing my first novel, which is in the process of being written, by the time that I graduate in December of 2001. After graduation, I plan on moving to Europe and pursuing my career there while I search for the meaning of life. I hope that I have been able to give you enough information that you will then be able to inform the other alumi of BK in the next newsletter.

Hello Everyone! I started at college for a semester and it wasn't for me. I worked for awhile and then I joined the Air Force. I have bben in for almost a year. I am loving it! I have a flying job. I have been to Hawaii, Guam, Thailand, Japan, and other states around the US. Other than traveling and going through school in the Air Force not much has been going on. Hope all is well with the class of '97!
First of all, can I just say that I am totally freaked out to think that I am graduating in May 2001. I will graduate from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ. I have been playing soccer for NAU since the fall of 97 and will complete my 4th year of collegiate athletics this fall. Everyone tells you that college goes by fast but I never believed it until now. My major is Public Relations and I'm minoring in Electronic Media (Radio and Television Broadcasting). I would like to move back to the Northwest and work up there. As much as I'd like to go back to BK and become Athletic Director for all of the women's sports, I'm going to have to choose another route. Hey, feel free to e-mail me and let me know what's happening with everyone. Danny P.S. Congrats Tiffany! That sounds awesome.
Hello everyone, I hope all of you are doing good. I am still up at school in Olympia, WA at Saint Martin's College. It has been fun to live in the Puget Sound area but I always like get back to Boise as much as I can. I am excited to start my senior year... although it is kind of scary to think that I will be in the "real world" in only one year. Well, I am eager to hear updates from everyone - Colleen
I am currently working on my business management degree and thinking (no pun intended) of adding on a philosophy minor. Due to a small problem with a math class, I'm 5 credits out from being a senior, which means that I'll probably graduate in Dec. 2001 *knock on wood*. I'm working at Edwards Cinemas now, managing concessions again after a year managing the IMAX. Other than that, not much really new...feel free to drop me a line or stop by sometime..... Daniel
What up, kids. Good to hear that everyone is doing well! I lived in Hollywood, CA this summer working on two internships-one with E! Entertainment Television producing the show Talk Soup, and at ADD Marketing, a music and skateboard promotion company. I now live in Baltimore and am working with G.Love and Special Sauce (Philadelphonic Records) doing promotions. I graduate December 2001 and I will be moving to New York City to work in music management and promotions. I have never been happier than doing what I am doing now! Hope you all are happy! Feel free to send me an email. Molly Neznanski
I'VE GOT SOMETHING TO SAY AND I'M NOT GOING TO SUGAR COAT IT. RECENTLY I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT I DONT LIKE GIRLS. I FOUND THIS OUT WHEN CASEY DENNARD AND I WENT CAMPING ALONE ONE NIGHT. LETS JUST SAY HE'S GOT REAL FAST HANDS. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE'RE MOVING IN TOGETHER. GIVE US A CALL AND WE'LL CHAT. P.S. COME SEE ME DANCE ON FRIDAYS AT PAPAS 96 CLUB.395-1204
Hi everybody, hope everything is going good. I am going to Boise State now, I did go to Mesa State in Colorado for two and a half years before. I had a little boy on March 27, 2000. His name is Wyatt and he is the most precious boy you will ever meet(at least I think so). I will be graduating with a degree in biochemistry in May of 2002 and then I want to go to law school or graduate school. Anyway, I am just here in Boise so I would love a call or send an email. Take care everyone!
Hello everyone! Seems like so long since I even last thought about high school, but my mother sent the spring 2001 letter my way and I had to stop in and write. Well, lets see, where shall I begin? I went to UofI for a year (psychology and ROTC), left, got married to YES, that Air Force guy. Andrew Mitchell. Went back to UofI and WSU (pre-vet)for a year and then my husband decided we should move to Massachussetts this last Jan. So here I am!! NO CHILDREN, but we do have two dogs, a cat, guinea pig, and three horses. Hopefully more soon!! I am working at a local dressage facility (horse barn for those who don't know) training and teaching (shoveling poop) and starting my own arabian horse breeding business. My husband is working at the Veterans Hospital. I'm just waiting until the hand of God comes down and SMACKS some sense into me and tells me what path I'm supposed to be on! I know I'll be going back to college soon, but doing what I don't know!! I'll probably go to Berkshire Community College just for a year or two and then transfer to UMASS to finish. What else....my teeth are straight, BRACES!! Haven't been in touch with many people. Just trying my hand at my own life first before I delve into others. Has anyone heard anything from Stephanie Williams? Please let me know if you do. Let her know I'd like to hear from her. Love you all and miss everyone of you. Keep in touch!! Cheers, Amanda TEETS
To keep everyone updated, I still live with Casey Denard, but we are not "dating" anymore. I found him with some other hussy, so we are just really good friends now a days. As for the fact that I don't like girls, that still stands. If anyone wants to get a hold of me a just chat, give me a call sometime at 395-1204.
So, I was just online talking with Tiffany McCormick, and she so kindly informed me about this website. So, I checked it out and it is so great to hear how some of our classmates are doing and what exciting and diverse directions they have all taken. Spouses, children, coming out, world traveler, soccer star, Hollywood, who would've guessed all this would be reality only 4 years ago?? As for me, not so much the really interesting direction, yet, but I am doing my own thing and having a great time! I am currently a Super-Senior (5th year as some might call it) here at St.Louis University. I have finished my degree in Theology. I am 3 credits away from my Studio Art degree. And now I have taken on education classes, in the hopes of getting certified to teach highschool art and religion, or go on to get my masters in fine arts and teach at the university level. It could quite possibly happen that I will end up being one of those "life-time" students. Who would've guessed? Certianly not me! Well, I hope more people visit this site and update us all on their new endeavors and directions. Oh, has anyone heard anything about a 5 year reunion?? Take care, Tricia Stackle
Hi there,I'm tring to get in touch with a friend of mine from the Unviersity of Oregon. Here name is Anna Johns and she went to Bishop Kelly in 1997. I have some pretty important news for her, so if you have any way that I could get a hold of her. I'd appreciate it. Thanks
Talk about a blast from the past!!! What a super fun way to stay in touch. I love reading about how your lives are going full speed ahead and I want more stories...well I graduated in May 2001 from the University of Idaho with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Interior Design and Architecture. Needless to say, I dont know if that is what I want to do, but at least I have that document that says im worthy of higher pay someday:)haha Anyway, after living in Boise for awhile, I decided I just couldn't stand being away from Moscow. haha--not true. But I could not stand being away from the "guy" in my life and we currently are living in Moscow together and hopefully there will be wedding bells in the near future, I mean it is going on 4 years now!!! But I am working for Potlatch Credit Union and still maintain to hang onto my old college routine somewhat. It went way too fast! I lived in the Alpha Gamma Delta house for 4 years and still keep in touch there. My sister is a sophomore up here and pledged the same house too. So, right now I have ties up here, but my future is calling for change,I just dont know how or when. But I will be back to keep ya posted so dont you worry your pretty little heads. Congrats to all of you on your accomplishments...toodles, LeeAnne
WOW!! Boy nothing like a blast from B.K. past to make a guy feel inadiquite in scholastics. Well lets see where to start . . . After highschool I came up the U of I and majored in drinking beer for about two years, then I went to Montana State for a change of scenery and changed my major to skiing. From there it was pretty evident that I wasn't taking college seriously so I took a year off. After a fierce slap in the face from the real world I decided its time to to back to the good ole UI. This time I think I am actually taking college seriously and will hopefully graduate in three MORE years with a degree in Botony and Horticulture. But hey at least I am back, and no I don't grow anything illegal.
Cograts to everybody who is doing so well. I wish I could say I am suprized, but I did grow up with all of you and it comes as NO suprize that everybody's life is right where they want it to be. Including yours Nick.
And as for my cencored senior quote: "Blackcreek this weekend?"
Well, it sounds like everything is going well for everyone. Things have been going great for me. As you can see from the previous post, I did get married in March. To a wonderful guy, Jared whi is also in the Air Force. We have been stationed in California, but as of May, we have been stationed in Delaware. We just got here a few days ago and are getting ready to move into our new house. I am looking forward to that!! I have now been in the Air Force for 3 years, and I really like it. I am looking forward to getting back to school soon. I still have a job flying to different countries but I am trying to get into a new job where I can be home a little more often. Congratulations!! To everyone on all your accomplishments!
Wow. When they say that you never know where life will lead you, they ain't kidding. The State of Idaho is now a month in my rear view mirror, and Eastern Time mornings can really be interesting to get used to when one is used to late Mountain Time nights. Yes, the diaspora continues amongst the class of 1997. Knoxville, Tennessee is now my home, and yes, I'm still working for a movie theatre company. Now it's the "Regal Entertainment Group" and the job's a corporate position, but it still gets me free movies!
If you really want to hear all about the travel mishaps (driving a UHaul cross-country is not what one would call a fun experience), feel free to drop me a line. Otherwise, later. See y'all in 2007! -Daniel
Well fellow classmates, it has been a year since I last posted and I figured I should probably update. We are still living in Mass. on the same property. Finally starting to look decent around here! It's been a lot of work...but we are still looking for our own piece of land...it will come. My husband was called back to active duty USAF after Sept. 11 and he is still in, much to his dislike! He'd love to get back to his "real" job any day now...I have a feeling it is going to be sooner than later. I was caregiving for a time for the elderly, what a trip that is!! And am now working at a vet clinic. Great experience, and enough hands on that I realize I DO NOT want to become a vet. Well, at least I got THAT figured out! We are still breeding Arabian horses, and standing our stallion at stud. He's growing into such a handsome fellow. We have two new mares, both in foal to other stallions. Looking forward to those two being born, they ought to take the world by STORM. My goal is to have a National Champion by our class reunion, hahahaha. I am also running my own commission sales business, helping match clients with horses for sale. It's doing well, if only the market for commodities was better!! All and all, this has been a fast year. I can't believe it's fall already! What happened to spring? My brother graduated from Hish School last year and is attending college this year. Aren't I toooo young for a brother that old??? Hahahaha, as usual, I'm 23 going on 87.... Well all, still looking for the "old gang" haven't heard a word since I left UofI. Brandy W., Stephie, Patrick, anyone know of them, pass them my love and hope they get in contact. Love to you all! Hey, hey, hey all! I remember you guys. I never knew about this board before today, or else I would have made my grand and undoubtedly joyous entrance a little sooner.
Since it seems to be the thing to do here, I'll weigh in and give anyone who cares an update on what my life post BK has been like.
Since graduation I've gone on to get a undergraduate business degree in Management from Boise State, and I've since further gone on into graduate school and am a little over halfway through on getting my Masters degree in marketing from the University of Oregon. In the meantime I've done some work as a real estate manager. (Yes, I still have my soul. Contrary to popular belief they don't require you to actually give up the rights to your soul to enter into the real estate business. In actuality all that happens is they make you temporarily check it at the office. They give it back to you when you leave the job. Thus far it seems to be in much the same shape as it as when I checked it, though I have an odd urge at times to raise my own rent.)
I've also done some more service oriented work for an e-commerce retailer.
Currently, I'm become a corporate zombie upon graduation. Stay tuned.
HI Its been to long! But nice to know that everybody is doing well. I didn't even know this place existed. Well as a recap of my life since BK, not that anyone cares, has been great. I'm still with Mike and we live in Vancouver Washington with our cat and snake. We still haven't gotten married, but soon I hope. I would love to hear from you guys so write me at nfandmt@yahoo.com

Hi there, all you BK grads. Been a little while, so here goes. I'm now living in Portland, OR. Things are going well for me. I went to college in San Diego at Point Loma Nazarene University for two years, took a year off to lifeguard, then came up and finished my degree in Botany at Oregon State University. Finally graduated in June! I was lucky to work all summer doing research at Shriners Hospital for Children here in Portland and now I'm looking for something to last me through the year. I am planning at this point to head back to graduate school for a Masters in a year or so, we'll see what happens with that. Well, other than that, nothing big has happened, I'm not married or serious with anyone... got other things to do. Please feel free to drop me an email anytime.
Right now Rob H. is sitting next to me and talking big bullshit! He is here in Germany with me for the second time now and we had a awsome weekend checking out the clubs around town. Make me feel kind of sad to see all your nice "lifetimereports"! Cause mine is not that good. After I got back to Germany a graduated from school with honors and was sent to fight for my country in Bosnia! Took me a while to get over it! Anyway, went back to school graduated with a 1.0 in Human Biology and I 'm now running my own business with about 300 employees! So as you can see BK formed my way in life! Me and Rob are heading out in my new Ferrari F40 to go to see John MacEnroe in his Suite and hang out with him and a few ladies. Hammon and Casey are comming to Frankfurt tomorrow and hopefully sober we will pick em up to drive them to Berlin where they will have theire wedding! So erverybody, CU

its been a wild year, with plenty of ups and downs, but i have finally gotten things together. as many of you know, i have been in and out of a relationship with casey denard for the past few years, and we have decided to tie the knot. however, as you all know, gay marriages in the US can be difficult, so we are headed over to europe for a proper wedding. luckely we have a few friends over there for support (and to be witnesses, hehe). should be a blast, and i´ve never been more happy. please e-mail me if you would like to talk about old times, or have any questions about being gay in america!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was surprised to find this and excited to hear all the news- congratulations to everyone!
My update: I left University of Idaho with my degrees in 2002 and now I'm in Davis, CA doing a bit of graduate work in Applied Mathematics and a lot of non-graduate work (Girl Scouts, quilting, visiting the beach). Davis is very different from anything in Idaho and I really love it. My summary of Davis: Fresh fruits and veggies, lots of bicycles (we are the bicycle capitol of the US), beach access (1.5 hours is less then 15-20) and the Jelly Belly Factory. I have a WHITE cat named Sophie who is my current child.
Other updates: I was in Janice's wedding so I should let you know that she's Janice Preuit and she's living in Twin Falls. Shylo Crow is about to become Shylo Evans (in 1.5 months, not that she's counting). And Erin Rausch is living in Stockton, CA and also enjoys the Jelly Belly Factory.
If you want my email check out the bottom of my webpage (I don't like spam): http://www.math.ucdavis.edu/~wiegers/
Well, It's encouraging to know that I am not the very last person to find out about this website, but I cut it pretty close. I am, however, only the second person to post a message this year, so that must count for something. These postings are such a great idea! It is great to know what is everyone has been up to since high school.
I went to U of I after graduating from BK, where I became a Delta Gamma. I spent a semester abroad studying at the University of Reading in England and traveling around England, Ireland, and Scotland in general. I graduated from U of I in May 2002 with a BS in Psychology and a BS in Child, Family, and Consumer Studies. I moved back to Boise after graduation and married Ron Sandow, who I met at U of I.
Currently, I am back in school at BSU, earning my BS in Nursing (you can never have too many degrees, haha), and working as a Nurse Apprentice in Labor and Delivery at St. Luke's in Boise.
The latest and most exciting news I have is that Ron and I just bought our first house (in Northwest Boise)!
I look forward to reading more updates in the future and would love to talk with anyone who wants to get in touch with me!
2004 update: Sad to see so few people posting.... I am still in Pittsfield, MA with Andy. We are on the same property, but are looking to buy now. It's tough getting land out East...expensive. Andy is the Loss Prevention Manager for Sears and also a part time cop in a small town. I am working as a Vet Tech in a clinic about 40min from here. I really enjoy it! Well...when I'm not on call ;) I am also a writer for various publications, horse related. As well, I run my own business. I do commission sales for clients looking to buy, or sell, their horses. I handle accounts all over the USA and world. My website is absolutely superb and can be seen at www.honeysucklerosenorth.com As far as my horses, I know I previously mentioned my goals for them. Well, our NSH filly we sold in 2002 will be going to the USA Nationals in KY this year. Our Arabian mare is winning at Class "A" shows in this region. Our 2003 colt will be going to OK in a few weeks and will be standing at stud at MiJo Arabians. I now, as of today, have two Arabian broodmares, one Ex Race horse mare I ride, and two ponies. I have one mare in foal for 2005, the other mare just arrived yesterday so we will breed her next year. I still have the two dogs, Jaime and Ginger. And four cats. But ONE only lives inside. Two run in and out as the door opens, and one lives outside in the barn perminantly. No children, but there's no plans for that anyways.

Hi everyone, Well I saw this site years ago, but I wanted to accomplish something before I posted. I think I have done that now :-)
I have graduated from U of I with 3 degrees; Child Developemnt, Special Ed, and Early Childhood Special Ed. While in college I spent a year in Australia!
I am now working in the Meridian district as an "Early Intervention Specialist". I teach preschoolers with special needs. I am really enjoying working with the children and I find all the other areas of my job a nice challenge.
As Brandy mentioned, I got married this summer to a great man who treats me wonderfully.
I am very happy and feel very blessed for all I have in my life.
Well damn, there IS an alumni website for the class of '97! Took long enough for me to find it! =) I suppose I can give an update to anyone who is interested... After we graduated, I went to college in St. Paul, MN for a year, then returned to Boise to attend BSU. Got married in '99 and had my first daughter, Miah in the spring of 2000. I ended up changing my major at BSU a few times (who deosn't?), and finally decided on Nursing. I graduated with my degree in Nursing, and had my second daughter, Mikayla in the spring of '03. I worked both at the hospital in Nampa (mostly while I was in school), then most recently at St. Luke's in Boise in the NICU. Then, after living in Boise for 10 years of my life, we decided we wanted a change of scenery, and packed up and moved down to hot and sunny Florida just in July of this year ('04). So, here we find ourselves, 3 hurricanes later and still in one piece. (Did they forget to mention the slight risk of hurricanes to me when I accepted a job here???) Anyway, I still have friends and family in Boise, so I will definitely be going back to visit. Feel free to visit my webpage and see some pics of my girls! (shameless brag page!) Glad everyone is doing well, and I'll stay tuned and see ya in '07! Bye for now, Jovita!
I glob siminich am the first bk grad to absolutly have no operating brain cells. I currently drool on myself and have my older brother change my depends. oTHER THAN THAT I AM DO GOOD
So, as many of my friends are all talking about their 10 year high school class reunions, my question is, is there any chance we will have one? Our class of 1997, all scattered about wrecking havoc and creating peace and progress all over the world?? I have heard of so many people who have married and started families--congratulations to all of you!! I have run into a few of you still living in Boise--it was so wonderful to see you all this summer!! I have been living in Seattle for 4 years now, teaching high school art at Catholic schools, pondering what I will do to help bring about a more peacefully and just world for the future. Anyway, I wish all you peace in your lives and hope to see you all soon at a reunion or who knows where.
Hi everyone. Just found this website while looking for reunion info. It's good to see everyone is going good. I am going to graduate from BSU in December. Took some time off due to getting married. I am hoping to go to law school next August but I won't know anything for sure until January or February. Not much more from me. As for the reunion it looks like Jordan Risch is the point of contact but his website doesn't bring anything up. Is anyone in contact with him at this time?
Hi fellow classmates, I am trying to get our reunion up and running. Please email me your mailing address. If you have information on anyone else in our class please pass that along also. I would like as many people from our class to know about the reunion as possible. Thanks! Laura Goodson Willoughby
