No Response yet?!? C'mon guys. I can't wait to hear what all of you are doing - married, pregnant, different sex...a lot can happen in seven years. Wow. Seven years. I'm living in Denver - working in Boulder. I miss Boise a lot. But, I am taking a trip up to Redfish Lake this fourth of July for a little r&r. not married. no kids. But, I do have two cats and two dogs. Anyone remember Smiley? He lives with me now along with an Aussie Shepard named Jack. I just bought my first house and am getting ready to go back to grad school sometime in the near future.

Anyway - my email address is ymaq@hotmail.com. Hope to hear from someone soon!

Kamee married a Pape? not Justin Pape? Wow. Either way, I feel like an old maid - not even close to getting married yet. I don't keep in touch with anyone other than Sam Brownell - she is single as well. She's living in Boise and getting her degree this year. And, Joe Larrea is still living in Salt Lake - got his achitectural degree from the University of Utah.

I moved to Denver almost two years ago - I was dating a guy who lived near Boulder and found a job...there the story goes. I have not heard of Stratton - is it near Brush or Fort Morgan? It's amazing how flat land gets east of Denver. I love it here. The weather is usually nice and the views of mountains are awesome. I do miss Boise quite a bit though. Eventually, I hope to move to the pacific northwest.

Hello all, I just found this site and wanted to leave a message. I am living in Boise and have been married for 3+ years. No kids, but we have a miniature Doberman Pinscher, who is like our daughter. I have been running a private foster care agency for the last few years and my wife and I own a small jewelry store in the Boise Towne Square mall. I recently took up golfing and play a couple times a week. It would be great to hear from anyone from our class. Although I still live in Boise, I see very few of our classmates. Anyone that wants to play golf, leave me an email and we will go. I also still coach St. Mary's 8th grade basketball, and would enjoy having an assistant. Best wishes to you all, Ray

Laberta, You crazy ol' chick ! It is great to hear that all is well for you and that you are happily married. Funny how old we are all getting. My mind is grinding and for some odd reason I cannot picture your husband Mark, but I did get hit a lot in the head in high school. Thank God for football helmets..Right? I am gonna pull an old yearbook and see if I can apply a face to that name. Hey if you see Pete Maupin anytime in the near future, have him call me, I am in the book. Talk to you later, Ray

Hello Everyone! The quick version is: I currently (and temporarily!) live in new york city. before that i spent about six years in the seattle area. living in this massive concrete jungle has convinced me i'm a hick at heart and can't wait to return to the northwest. not for a awhile though. next year its off to grad school in massachusetts where i will be studying international development.

i am very sad to be missing cynda ryther's wedding this summer. other folks i keep in touch with are jane o'sullivan (we lived together in seattle for two years!) and gretchen hove. both are doing great.

well i guess thats about it for now. its really fun to read what other people are up to- i hope more people say hello!

Hey Lisa, While bouncing a club here in Boise, I confiscated your old state issued photo Id from some underage hoodlum. She tried passing it to me so she could get into the bar.Afterwards, I attempted to contact you, but got no response. It was pretty pathetic as this kid looked absolutely nothing like you and was about a foot taller than you were in high school. I just thought it was funny and I wanted to share it with you.. Glad to hear your doing so well, Ray

Hey Berta, Wow, happy birthday !! I now can remember your husband. I did get hit a lot in the head in highschool, and the beers with your hubby and others probably did not help my memory out any either. Your dog sounds great. I have a miniature Doberman Pinsher. She is almost 2 and is the greatest dog. It is sick how she is like a family member. Hope all is going well for you and yours.. Ray

P.S. Are any of our classmates lawyers yet? I just got hit in my new Taurus and am considering a personal injury lawsuit. Of course the dirtbag that hit me was uninsured, and my car has like 4500 dollars in damage, not to mention my medical bills. Please email if anyone has a great plan for revenge.. :)

Ray - I don't know any lawyers - but Samantha Brownell was faced with a similar situation years ago...I'll see what advice I can get. Also, there are several lawyers on other BK threads -- try the class of '87.

Hey kids,

Just a note to let you know, what up with me. I graduated from University of Hawai'i in Dec. of 1998 with a BArch. I made my way through school on an athletic scholarship, can you believe they give scholarships to cheerleaders! I am now an architect in San Francisco, a lovely town. I coach an adult (18-42) cheerleading team here in the city. I hope all is well with the class of '93.

Hi there everyone. Erin Hardesty told me this was here and it is nice to see everyone is alive and well and to hear of your adventures of life.

I see Christy Gaythwaite and Erin Hardesty in Boise every now and then when I head to town. They are both doing well.

I also saw Jenna Warfell as well the last time I was in town and she looks great and has purchased a house in Boise.

Ray I understand Jacquiline Bicandi is a lawyer in New York. -Or you can call a personal friend of mine and see if she can help you. Anne Cosho is her name and she works for Finsch Cosho.

Well just to fill you all in on the past fast few years. I left Boise in 12/96 to Albuquerque NM with my Husband Brian Kotts to finish school at UNM in Nuclear Medicine.

In 9/99 we again moved to Reno Nevada and have decided to settle down here. I am now the supervisor of the Nuclear Medicine Department here at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. We also have had a great year because we added the newest addition to our family in May, our Son Sammy.

Hope to hear from you all soon. take care. -Beth (Betty)

Hi Everyone!

What a great way to catch up! I am living in Ashland, OR with my husband, Alex, and our 20 month old son, Taylor. I graduated in 97 with a BA in Marketing from Southern Oregon University. Along with my brother-in-laws, we own a brewery/restaurant here in Ashland. If anyone is ever driving I-5 between SF and Portland/Seattle, make sure and stop in (Standing Stone Brewing Co) and say hi. As far as working, I am mostly home with Taylor, but do some independant things from home. Life is very good and I and feel very fortunate!

Sarah Schmidt is getting married in September to Class of 92's Joe Clayon. They live in the Bay Area and are doing great! Catherine Hannity (Cunningham) lives in Boise with her husband Regan, no kids but you never know what the future holds. (: Sarah Berch is in Portland where she teaches kindergarden at a Catholic school. She is enjoying living in the same town as her boyfriend of a few years, Ryan. Tom Schappacher is living in Germany for two years as an CPA for Moss Adams. Last time we talked he was doing great!

It's wonderful to hear that everyone is doing well. It's hard to believe our reunion is just around the corner! I look forward to reading more messages!

Take Care! Danielle Amarotico (Asin)

Well, I came across this site by accident, but it seems pretty cool. Right now I am about to graduate from undergraduate navigator training here in San Antonio, Texas. I was commissioned almost a year ago as a 2nd Lt. in the USAF. In June of last year I married Dale Loughran (class of 94). We're getting ready to move to my next duty station in Arizona in a couple of months. Dale works as registered nurse at local hospital, while I spend most of the day flying around the southern part of the United States learning how to navigate. It sounds like everyone is doing well. Good luck to you all, and I'll probably see you at the ten year reunion.

Well, I thought I would try to get the ball rolling again. Life is pretty much the same here in Boise. I am still running a small private foster care program, and bartend a couple of times a week. My wife and I are selling our business in the Mall after 4 years! (thank god). I have been married (nearly 6 years) w/ no kids. I just saw Pete Maupin. He is the same ol' long haired hippy guy that we all remember. It was great to see him. It would be great to catch up with any or all of our class. I am an email guy, and a decent pen pal. Isn't it getting cloe to reunion time? Hope to see you there, or to hear from you all soon. Best Wishes, Ray

Hey, everyone--we're almost at that point where ten entire years have passed since those days of roaming the ol' BK halls. I'm trying to get organized and find as many people as possible who are interested in planning, participating in, discussing the reunion--I have already heard from an astounding amount of seriously excited class of '93-ers. I'm putting together a mailing, but I'd love to hear any ideas, addresses, info, or just a quick hi--send me an email and let me know your thoughts--

Can't wait! Colleen Colby colleen.1@prodigy.net

Hey old friends- In between sips of wine, Colleen and I are getting together to talk about the reunion... and perhaps, howl at the moon, who knows? Please join us. Please. We are hoping to be enlightened by ANY ideas. Tom Moore and John Nemeth play at Pengillys on Thursday nights in Boise.) We will most likely use that as the headquarters for our first "official" meeting (date yet to be determined.) Call me for more specifics. Home: (208) 395-1112 (if a guy answers- the fiance is Bryant "Gumball" Kuechle- say "hi"- he is friendly!) Work: (208) 287-7794 (I am an attorney for the Ada County Prosecutor's Office- so don't be alarmed by the very serious message- as a D.A., I am supposed to sound solumn and tough, but it is a big facade!) In the last two weeks I went to three Class of '93 weddings (Pat Connor, Andy Green, and Eric Higer.) I feel like I have seen so many wonderful old and lifelong friends. I cannot wait to see everyone else and catch up some more. Best wishes and God bless, Ellie

Hi all,

Here's a quick note to let you all know that on 10/10/02 Jessica (Hofferber) and I became the happy parents of a beautiful baby girl, Aidenne Adele Dorling. Baby, Mom and Dad are all healthy and are looking forward to each of the upcoming "firsts" - first smile, first step, first word.. etc.

I've sent photos of Aidenne (say it like "Aidan") clear around the world but can't seem to post pics to this site. If you'd like to indulge a proud daddy drop me a line via email because I love showing off our new addition!

As for me, I've lived in Seattle since '93, graduated from Seattle U and currently am working in finance and will be going to grad school in the fall of 2004. Feel free to follow the lead of Shawn, Ellen, Dennis, Jane, Tom, Lisa et al and call if you're up in the lovely Pacific Northwest.

Best regards, Chris Dorling

Greetings everyone-

How great to find a connection to the high school past and to hear what great things people are doing.

My wife (Melinda), daughter (Abigail -- 11 months) and I are living in Honolulu, HI where I am finishing my Family Practice Residency program with the Army. We just moved from Washington, DC at the end of 2001 where we were for 4 years during medical school at Georgetown (trying to stay in those Catholic schools).

I know the Brad Dixon is in Boise as an attorney, Steve Duft is still in Meridian working as a contractor for HP. I heard Jennifer Chan also graduated from medical school at St. Louis University.

Best of luck to everyone and hopefully will see you for a 10 year reunion.

Hi all - great to hear what some of you are up to. After college I taught here in Seattle for a few years then worked in Thailand for seven months. Now I am in my last year of law school here at UW in Seattle, a lot of us lawyers in the class, eh? I am planning to practice immigration law, so if any of you have any sweeties overseas, I can help you get them here. Aside from birthing the clone that made the headlines last week, nothing too out of the ordinary is going on, although I am moving to NYC next year for a job. I get to see Cynda and her husband Jim down in Puyallap, WA at times, as well as Gretchen and her husband Derek (and their new baby girl!)when I am back in Boise. Lisa and her Greek lover make it out here to Seattle from Massachusetts a couple of times a year, she is here now for the new years. The ever-cool Colleen still graces my world, she is living down in the bay area despite my years of trying to convince her to move up here.

My sister Katie, class of 88, and her husband/classmate Kevin Scanlan have three new baby boys, triplets! My older brothers each have kids now also. My sis Gabrielle is a doctor in Santa Rosa, and Louise is a massage therapist here in Seattle, her and her husb. Chris live in my neighborhood.

Hope to see y'all at the reunion.

Well Hello everyone- It sound like everyone is well and happy. I am so excited about the reunion and have been watching alot of the WB- geting pumped! I do not know if I will be able to go to the reuinion because my sons Godmother is getting married in Pensylvania. But, hopefully I will see some of you over the summer when I pop into Boise or at Erin Hardesty's wedding! I would love to see all of you and hear about your paths that life has taken you!

I've been married for 5 years this past Christmas. We have two children. "Sam" Samuel Agustus is 2 1/2 and "Katie" Katherine Barbara will be a year old in just a few days! We live in Reno, NV where I am the supervisor of both Nuclear Medicine and MRI Departments for Saint Mary's RMC.

Hope to hear from you all soon. Please dorp a line if you are ever in town! Beth

Sorry guys- the Save the Date cards for the reunion and my previous entry above have incorrect information due to staff changes in the Alumni Office.

DON'T WORRY! The reunion is still August 1st, 2nd, and 3rd... however, if you need to update your address with B.K., please contact:

e-mail: scoulter@bk.org or telephone: (208) 375-6010 (ask for Scott Coulter.)

See y'all in August!

I got curious about the reunion and ran into the class of '93 web post. Great idea. At any rate, I graduated from BSU in 1997 (Polictical Science), and then from Willamette University College of Law in 2000. I have been an attorney at Moffatt, Thomas, Barrett, Rock and Fields in Boise for three years. My wife Mandy (formerly Kuehmichel and class of '96)is currently finishing up school to become a therapist. We have been married for just over five years. No kids yet, but probably sooner than later. Unfortunately, I have been rather disconnected from the BK community, but I do look forward to seeing everyone again at the reunion.

Hello, everyone. I receive a letter from BK for a survey about how every one of us is doing, and I came across this site. (Good Idea!!) For those who do not remember me, I graduated in the class of 93 as a foreign student from Mexico. I moved back to Mexico, graduated as Industrial Eng., and finished a Masters in Manufacturing and Quality Systems. I am currently working for Hitachi Global Storages Technologies (strategic union between IBM and Hitachi) and I am working as a Planning and Logistics Manager. I am already married and have 1 son (1.8 year) and a daughter (2 months). August 10 year’s reunion sounds great! even that I am farther than most of you , I will try to join you. I look forward to see all of you in August.

Regards…

If anyone has current addresses for Adrien, Matt, Ben or Christina please send it to me or let me know of another way to get in contact with them.

I caught this on the news this morning. I so wish that it wasn't true. This article is from today's Idaho Statesman (8/12/04)

Car drives off after killing Torch manager

Boise police are looking for the driver of a white sports-utility vehicle that hit and killed the manager of the Torch Lounge early Wednesday and drove away without stopping.

Ray McConville was standing outside the adult entertainment club at about 1:30 a.m. when the SUV jumped the curb on Main Street and struck McConville from behind, police said.

Parts of the SUV were found at the scene. Police believe the car is a white 2001 or 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee, Boise police spokeswoman Lynn Hightower said. Witnesses told investigators it looked as if the driver of the SUV lost control after rounding the curve on Main Street, drove onto the sidewalk and hit McConville, who was talking to someone in the club's parking lot. Witnesses did not get a look at the driver, according to police reports.

The SUV kept going, getting back on Main Street and heading west. McConville was pronounced dead a short time later at a local hospital, according to reports. The lounge is at 1826 W. Main St., just west of the downtown core and very close to the roadway at the end of a sweeping curve.

"I think somebody was intoxicated or drunk, and they just lost control," said Bree Gerlach, a Torch Lounge employee and friend of McConville. "I don't think there was a vendetta or anything. No way. No way. Ray was a great guy."

"It sounds like a real tragedy," said Brian Contreras, a friend of McConville. "Ray just became a father, and he was really excited about that. He would help anybody." Gerlach said it was business as usual at the Torch Tuesday night; there were no altercations or anything else unusual going on.

Hightower said detectives talked to several witnesses and have contacted auto repair shops to see whether anyone had brought in a white SUV with damage to the front quarter panel or elsewhere. Detectives will continue to look for the driver today, she said. "It appears to be an accident, although if someone was intoxicated, that would certainly play a part," Hightower said.

By Wednesday afternoon, a few vases of flowers were on the sidewalk next to the lounge, and a spray-painted police diagram of where the car was located was the only evidence of the accident.

According to police reports, McConville was standing on the sidewalk in front of the lounge when a white SUV, traveling westbound, jumped the curb and struck McConville from behind, tossing him into the air. The SUV drove for a little while on the sidewalk before getting back on Main Street and running a red light at 23rd and Main Street intersection as it kept going west toward Fairview Avenue. Gerlach said the employees at the Torch Lounge and McConville's friends were devastated.

"It's very difficult ... we'll all come together," she said. "This was a guy who was really nice. He took great joy in being a new dad. It's just really sad."

What terrible news. Ray was a great classmate - friendly, inclusive, caring, fun and funny. (check out some of his posts to this board!) Seeing him last summer was a reunion highlight. Thanks for everything Ray, I'll miss you. You live on in all of us whose lives you've touched.

Just read the news and am shocked and very saddened. I will always remember Ray as a big teddy bear. Full of life - always smiling and a pleasure to know. Ray, you are a light that will continue to shine on the people who were lucky to know you. Rest in peace.

I just came upon this site while I was checking out the BK homepage(bored at work). I currently live in LA and work in customer relations for a financial newspaper called Investors Business Daily. I missed out on attending the reunion back in 03' so I didn't get to see how fat and bald everyone had gotten. That's too bad. I saw that Ray McConville had passed away and was very sad to hear that. He was such a great guy. I had actually seen him at the Torch a while back and he set me up with some free drinks( that was a Ray kind of thing to do). He was very generous and outgoing and will be missed. I hope everyone from the class of 93 is having a great life and hope to see you all at the next reunion.

Hi everyone- not real sure why I checked in on our alum site... will be in Boise & Mccall this weekend and wanted to 'touch base' I guess (have you heard about the new resort tamarack? sounds nice..) It sure brings me down to read about Ray. Anyone know how his family is doing? Sounds like he fathered a son. You know I'd be interested in talking with others about getting a class of '97 memorial scholarship fund going for Ray, Zach... some way for us to give back & memorialize our class. anyway go ahead and email me directly rather than post (not sure the next time I'll read here). Best wishes Chris Dorling

ps whoever put me in the famous links - that's really flattering :)

Good day. My name is Celio, and I live in Brazil. I lived for one year in Boise as an exchange student. My host brother used to attend BK.

However, I totally lost track of them. Its been 15 years and I believe they have moved to Texas.

I was wondering if you could give me any help on finding them. His name is John Hubbard, he was 15 years old in 1990, when I was in there. His parents are called Thomas Hubbard and Chris Hubbard, and they used to live in 11253 Flintlock Dr.

If you could help me in anything, I would be greatful!

Regards

I know that none of you know me. My name is Annette Mullen and Ray McConville and I were living together with a bright future ahead of us when he was killed. Our daughter, Kylie, is 16 months old now and she's a RAY of sunshine. Her father will live on through her eyes. The family is holding things together and Kylie and I are also doing well. The one year anniversary of the accident just passed and it was a sad day for all of us. Kylie was only 4 months old when her dad was taken so her being the soft, happy angel that she only knows how to be kept my spirits up throughout the day. Thank you to all of you who had kind words to say about Ray. He loved and treasured all of you so dearly. Your memories of him will keep him alive, always.

If any of you have pictures or stories to share, I'm creating a memory book for Kylie so that when she's old enough to know what's happened, she will know who her dad was, how amazing he was and that she is special to have had him even if just for such a short time. Please feel free to contact me if you would like to meet Kylie or myself. We have learned that the more extended family we have, the better off we'll always be.

Well, I'm not sure who I am writing this to, but I saw that the alumknights site didn't have any recent info on me, so I thought I would drop a quick line to say hey. Still married to the former Dale Loughran and now the proud papa of two little ones. Aidan is four and a half and James Patrick is almost two. I am still in the military. I am a Captain in the Air Force and a navigator aboard HC-130s here at Moody Air Force Base in Georgia. I missed out on the ten year reunion, but I heard that there was a book or publication that came out for the event. I tried touching base with Ellen Boldman and some other folks in charge of the reunion, but never heard back. If you know about this book I would love to purchase a copy. I think that it just catches everyone up with what is going on in our lives.

Hope this helps. I will try to stay in better communication with the class in the future.

Mike Gallagher
